Internet Explorer Unsafe After Cyber AttackAccording to the cyber security firm FireEye, Internet Explorer has been exposed to hackers due to a patch problem in their security systems and should not be used by anyone until further notice. According to the agency, several government agencies using older Microsoft XP versions were hit including the I.R.S., the Defense Department, power plants and bank ATM’s nationwide. David Kennedy, CEO of security consulting firm TrustedSec, warns that American’s shouldn’t take this threat lightly since a cyber attack by a foreign government could reveal weaknesses in industries crucial to the United States’ economy, defenses and power, potentially leading to war.
